Native Tree Walk

Saturday July 1st 2023

Time: 2pm – 4pm

Cost: By donation

Facilitator: Siobhán Lavelle

Be introduced to some of the magnificent native trees in Ferbane bog. Learn about the practical and spiritual significance these tree species had for our ancestors.

Trees were very important to our ancestors as providers of food, timber, medicine and as a significant part of their belief system. Learn about the folklore and traditions surrounding our treasured native trees and some of the gifts they can provide for us.

There is no charge for this event. You can give a donation based on what the tree walk was worth to you. Please book in advance as there are limited spaces available.

We will meet on Knockaulin drive beside the entrance to the newly opened Ferbane Bog boardwalk.
